Indicators

Indicators are variables that relate directly to some part of a program, goal or objective. Positive change on an indicator is presumed to indicate progress in accomplishing the larger program objective. For example, a program may aim to reduce drinking among teens. An indicator of progress could be a reduction in the number of drunken driving arrests or the number of teens found to be drinking underage in clubs.
